Verbatim ("the app") is an on-device audio transcription tool for iOS, published by Richardson Dackam. By using the app you agree to these terms.
You are responsible for obtaining consent from everyone you record, as required by the laws in your jurisdiction. Many places require all parties to consent to audio recording. The app includes a consent confirmation step and an optional audible beep, but these do not replace your legal obligations.
Transcription is performed on-device by an AI model and may contain errors. Do not rely on transcripts for legal, medical, or other high-stakes purposes without verifying against the original audio.
Verbatim Pro is available as a weekly subscription ($4.99/week), an annual subscription ($29.99/year), or a one-time lifetime purchase ($59.99). Prices are in USD and may vary by region. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. The lifetime purchase is a single non-recurring charge.
You agree not to use the app to record people without their knowledge where the law requires consent, or for any unlawful purpose.
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of the app.
We may update these terms. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
